Trends in Employee Engagement and Satisfaction 2016 – Czech Republic

Already since 2001, the Aon Best Employers study every year reveals and publicly recognizes exceptional employers based on employees’ opinions. The annual rewarding of Aon Best Employers creates a platform for identification and presentation of the best employers on local and global market.

Our report “Trends in Employee Engagement and Satisfaction 2016 – Czech Republic” explains what the engagement is and how we measure it. After introducing the current global trends, we continue by presenting the engagement in the Czech Republic, which has reached in 2016 the same level as last year, 55 %. Apart from the engagement, the report also looks to employees‘ satisfaction with areas of their worklife– in comparison to the last year, the employees in the Czech republic are less satisfied with, for instance, the area of education, enabling infrastructure and rewards and benefits .

These data have been collected in Czech companies. In 2016, the thirteenth year of the study Aon Best Employers counted 71 companies from different sectors. The biggest participating company invited to the survey about 10 000 employees, the smallest one 50. Out of 71 participants, the Best Employer title has been granted to five small and medium sized companies – AbbVie, CISCO SYSTEMS (Czech Republic), Grundfos Sales Czechia and Slovakia, Hilti a PROMEDICA PRAHA GROUP (alphabetically ordered). GMC Software Technology, Hypoteční banka, Marriott Czech Republic, Microsoft, NetSuite Czech Republic, Red Hat Czech a SAP ČR won the award in the category of large companies. The differences between the results of Aon Best Employers and other companies are significant in all indexes observed. The average difference between them was more than 30 % in 2016.

The report also includes HR trends in Czech companies. We found out that the majority of companies plan to focus on employees‘ engagement, performance management and leadership development. What do you plan to focus on in your company?
